BIG 265 Pound Blacksmith Swage Block... Here is a nice Industrial size swage block in almost excellent condition.. All of the openings, edges and grooves are still in very good condition with very little use. This swage block is work ready with No breaks, cracks or repairs.. The outside measures 16" by 18" and 5" thick and weighs 265 pounds.. This swage block has numerous square,rectangular and round holes in the main body that measure from 3/4" all the way up to 2", the outer edge is lined with grooved swagging depressions that measure from 3/4" all the way up to 5 1/2".. No manufacturer markings found, but this is an older style swage block that would most likely date between the mid 1800's to possibly very early 1900's.. This is cast from high Quality iron, not the modern "ductile Iron", there are some casting pockets on the back side, but nothing that will effect use.. This is a large heavy duty swage block that will withstand hard daily use, you wont be disappointed..
